“Project” refers to any work, material or document submitted by a user in our competitions through our website.

Users must be at least 18 years old to use our website, register on it, and participate in our competitions. By using our website, you warrant that you meet this requirement.

NEA reserves the right to modify or withdraw, temporarily or permanently, the information contained in this website (or any part thereof) with or without prior notice.

NEA will collect, process, and protect personal data collected through this website in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation and current Spanish data protection legislation.

By registering on our website or participating in our competitions, you consent to the processing of your personal data in the manner and for the purposes indicated below.

We only collect the personal data that you provide to us when you register on our website and participate in our competitions. This data includes your name, age, nationality, country of residence, email address, and, if applicable, the university where you study.

Sending information about upcoming competitions or other commercial information requires express consent which can be revoked at any time.

The personal data collected will not be communicated to third parties. These data will be accessible only to the NEA team, jury members and instructors. Only necessary and essential data may be communicated to service providers who will not be authorized to make any different use of such data. These data may also be shared with media and through social networks with the exclusive purpose of publishing and disseminating the results of a competition. They may also be communicated in the context of a judicial investigation or when required by a legal provision.

NEA will not be responsible for such content uploaded by the users and reserves the right to publish or withdraw them.

7. MODIFICATION OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

NEA reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. The modifications will take effect after their publication on our website and bind the user directly, who has the obligation to review them periodically. The date of the last modification of these Terms and Conditions will always be indicated at the top.

 

8. APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute that arises in relation to these Terms and Conditions will be resolved in the courts of Spain.

 

COMPETITION PARTICIPATION RULES

1. ELIGIBILITY AND REGISTRATION

The competitions are open to any individual aged 18 or older, regardless of nationality or discipline.

In order to participate in a competition, you must register through our website, pay the stipulated price, and accept the Terms and Conditions.

Registration is done in teams, which can consist of one to four participants. Each registered team can submit a single project. If a team wishes to submit more than one project, they will need to formalize as many registrations as the projects they wish to present in the competition, paying the corresponding price for each registration.

 

2. PRICE AND AWARDS

The registration price is per team (not per person) and varies depending on the registration period. There are four registration periods, the price for each period is indicated on the website and in the briefing. The price does not include VAT.

To participate in our competitions, you must register through our website and pay the set price. Once registration and payment have been made correctly, cancellations or refunds will not be accepted.

Applicable tax withholdings will be applied to the announced awards according to the prevailing Spanish tax law.

 

3. INFORMATION AND ADDITIONAL MATERIALS

All relevant information for each competition, including its theme and requirements, the selected jury, the set deadline, the content and instructors of the course, the project submission instructions, or the awarded prizes, among other aspects, will be set out in the briefing of each competition and in the corresponding section of the website.

In addition, the competitions may be accompanied by additional material, documentation, and information provided to participants after their registration and payment of the corresponding price.

 

4. SELECTION OF THE WINNERS

Projects submitted that do not comply with the eligibility requirements, with the Terms and Conditions or with these Competition Participation Rules, will be disqualified.

Subsequently, NEA experts will select those projects that best meet the published evaluation criteria. These projects selected by NEA will be presented to the jury, which will evaluate them following the published evaluation criteria. The jury members may have access, if requested, to all submitted projects.

The winners will be chosen by the jury through individual votes of the members and after a joint meeting and discussion.

 

5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Users guarantee that they are the intellectual authors of the submitted projects and that they are not infringing any intellectual property rights with their submission to the competition.

Users will retain the copyright of their projects. However, by participating in a competition and submitting a project, they grant NEA a worldwide, free, and non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, publish, and distribute the project in any format and through any dissemination medium. This license can be cancelled by sending a request to our email: 

 

6. COMPETITION CANCELLATION

NEA reserves the right to cancel a competition due to lack of registrations by giving prior notice to users who have already registered and paid the price. In this case, the full amount of the price will be refunded within 15 days from the notification of the cancellation.

 

7. MODIFICATION OF THE COMPETITION PARTICIPATION RULES

NEA reserves the right to modify these Competition Participation Rules at any time, being binding on users from the moment they are published on the website. The date of the last modification will be indicated at the top.
